TP Report: NYFW Wrap Up
As NYFW is nearing its close, I thought I'd share with you my highlights.
Let's kick things off with the hottest felon, shall we? Jeremy Meeks went from the cells to the catwalk - alright, he got out a year ago, but ya feelin' meh - as he debuted NYFW for Phillip Plein. Just. Look. At. Him. Is. He. Kidding?
Proenza Schouler killed me for all the right reasons. Like, BANG BANG, I'M DEAD.
Public School delivered the coolest girl on the catwalks this season.
As always, Alexander Wang gave me life. He is a staple on every NYFW schedule for me.
Dion Lee did us Aussies proud on the NYC runway. I'm feelin' his more grown up approach to his collections. Very worldly and he's about to rock the international market. Go, baby!
Raf Simons, well, you already know how I love him so much. He certainly over-promised AND over-delivered with his debut collection for Calvin Klein.
Saving the best for last. My girl crush, Cat McNeil, absolutely made me melt with her hair cut and strut for Alexander Wang. She even had the New York Times feelin' the feels: "If trends spawn hashtags, call this beauty movement the #WomensSpring"
"At Alexander Wang, the stylist Guido Palau for Redken introduced boyish bowl cuts on several models, including Australian model Catherine McNeil, who had worn her hair below her shoulders. Palau stated that “Cat McNeil now owns the look for the moment, and it’s powerful because she made that decision.”
