MBFWA: Christopher Esber Brings The Heat
The mercury rose high for an Autumn day in Sydney, perfectly framing the Resort 16/17 collection from mastermind designer Christopher Esber.
Inspired by a bone dry desert, the collection presentation took place in the steamy upper levels of One Hot Yoga studio in Potts Point.
Revealed in a draped, sand coloured room was an assembly of models wearing dresses and separates incorporating raw, crinkled, oversized, and deconstructed elements.
The assembled crowd wandered through the minimal landscape like explorerslost in an expanse of sandy dunes.
Hidden amongst the arid bone hues, and detailed cotton intricacies were Swarovski embellishments shining like a mirage, or an Aqua blue pant glimmering like a lagoon.
TYSON & PEPPA loved the selection of black evening gowns with deep plunging necklines, the Swarovski embellished sleeves and neck wear, and the simple t-shirt dresses elevated with Esber's signature fabric play and decorative knots.
